A few things worth knowing

An extension gives you more time to file, not more time to pay. Any balance owed is still due on the original deadline. Interest and late-payment penalties start accruing from that date, even with an approved extension on file.

Weekends and holidays push a deadline forward. When a due date falls on a Saturday, Sunday, or federal holiday, it moves to the next business day. The dates above are the standard ones; the actual date in a given year may shift by a day or two.

State and local deadlines can differ. Florida has no personal income tax, but businesses may still have state filing and sales tax obligations on their own schedule.

These dates cover the most common situations, not every filing requirement. If you're unsure which apply to you, reach out and we'll confirm.
